Your story deserves to be heard.
SongCraft is a FREE one-on-one songwriting program offered through the Willy Pete Music Program (WPMP) for the U.S. military community. Each participant is paired with an “Operator”, a skilled songwriter who helps turn your story into an original song. We call them Operators because in SongCraft, their mission is the song.
No music experience, no music skills, and no desire to learn music required. All you need is a story and the willingness to share it.
This one-on-one ONLINE songwriting experience is personal, guided, and built for both first-time songwriters and those who want to grow in their songwriting. Whether you’ve never written a song before or you’re looking to sharpen your craft, your Operator will help you turn your thoughts, memories, and experiences into lyrics and melody you can call your own.
Over three online sessions, you'll collaborate one-on-one to build a song that says something real and personal.
You’ll finish with an original song and a demo recording.
Your finished song will be performed by the Willy Pete Band at Bravo Parade, our live showcase celebrating the stories and creativity of the military community.

Bravo Parade is WPMP's live showcase where SongCraft songs are performed. Each song and the story behind it is shared in front of warriors, families, donors, and supporters. It's not a typical concert. It's a room full of people who understand the weight of what was written and why it matters. Songs are introduced with context, performed with care, and received with the kind of attention that makes the experience meaningful for everyone in the room.
The next Bravo Parade is September 20, 2026 in Orlando, Florida — and your song could be on that stage.
